This project includes our flower barrels and hanging baskets throughout Central Square. It’s a true community effort: Studly Flower Gardens helps plan the plantings each year and provides a great deal on small plants. After our volunteers complete the planting, Studly Flower Gardens houses and cares for the displays until they fill out. The Public Works Department then installs them around Central Square for the season. At the end of the season, Public Works retrieves the planters and returns them to Studly Flower Gardens for winter storage. We couldn’t ask for better partners on this project

The most direct way to support this project is to sponsor a flower barrel or hanging basket. Costs for soil, plants, wicking fabric, and seasonal care across 24 planters and 8 baskets add up quickly. A $75 hanging basket sponsorship includes a recognition plaque in the planter (as shown above), a thank-you on our social media, and your name listed on this page. Barrel sponsorships are also available; contact us for availability.
