Ben Knight ” At Music On The Square. July 15
Young Blues Artist Ben Knight will be featured at the Friday, July 15 Music On The Square concert in downtown Rochester.. Underwritten by Federal Savings Bank and a grant from the NH State Council On The Arts/National Endowment For The Arts, the Music On The Square Concerts are held on Fridays from 11:45 am until 1:30 pm through August 26. Concert goers are asked to “bring a chair and buy or bring a lunch” to enjoy a musical performance in the heart of downtown Rochester.
Ben Knight and his Band were nominated for a 2015 New England Music Award and took home the win for the Last Band Standing competition. This high-energy band have played all around New England to great acclaim and shared the stage with Sheila Raye Charles, daughter of legendary musician Ray Charles, and with Claudette King the youngest daughter of iconic blues master B. B. King. Knight has also shared the stage with the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Albert Castiglia, the Joe Moss Band and Ronnie Earl. Legendary Boston radio personality Carter Alan says of Ben Knight "this kid has it all: talent, soul, stage presence and charisma."
The Music On The Square Concerts are held weekly through August 26. In case of inclement weather the concerts are cancelled at 10 am. Free parking nearby is available at the North Main , Union, and Congress Street Parking lots.
