About the Art Contest As part of Hearts on Main Street, Rochester Main Street is inviting the community to help create a Hearts on Main Street character. This contest is intended to celebrate creativity, community involvement, and downtown Rochester. The selected design may be featured in Hearts On Main Street promotions and materials. Who Can Enter • Open to all ages • Individuals or families may participate • One entry per person Hand-drawn and digital artwork are both welcome. Artwork must be original, family-friendly, and appropriate for public display. How to Enter • Create an original character inspired by Hearts on Main Street • Submit your artwork through the online submission form • Artwork may be photographed or scanned for submission Submissions must be received no later than February 9th at 6:00 PM. Late entries will not be accepted. Voting • All eligible submissions will be shared on the Rochester Main Street Facebook page • Public voting will take place from February 10 through February 14 • Voting will be based on Facebook reactions The entry with the most reactions at the end of the voting period will be selected as the community favorite. Prize • $25 gift card to a downtown Rochester business of the winner’s choice Artwork Use & Credit By submitting artwork, participants agree that: • Rochester Main Street may display the artwork online and in Hearts on Main Street-related materials • The artist will be credited whenever possible Support Downtown Rochester The Hearts on Main Street Art Contest is part of a larger community event supporting downtown events, beautification projects, and revitalization efforts through Rochester Main Street. |
