The Economic Vitality Committee recruits new businesses, facilitates business development workshops, and helps support current businesses.

Committee's Initiatives
- Side Walk Talks
- These are bimonthly meetings held at varying downtown businesses, generally teh 2nd Thursday of the month, 8-9am.
- Attendees can enjoy a brief business tour, learn about the host business' successes and obstacles, get Main Street updates, and network.
- Light refreshments are provided.
- Business Development Workshops
- We facilitate quarterly free workshops designed to help upcoming and existing businesses thrive.
- Topics include social media, windown displays, free expert resources, and HR and employment issues.
- Downtown Housing Advocacy
- We advocate for City ordance updates to facility growth of market rate housing, which is vital to the revitalization of a downtown.
- Restaurant & Shopping Rack Cards
- These Rack Cards are distributed throughout Rochester. They highlight the dining and shopping options available downtown.
