Down Town Clean-Ups

Keeping Rochester beautiful takes year-round effort, and our cleanup projects play a major role in maintaining the charm of our downtown district. Our largest annual event, Rochester Cares Day, takes place each spring and brings hundreds of volunteers together to clean, mulch, paint, and take on beautification projects throughout the downtown area. After a morning of hard work, volunteers are treated to lunch as a thank-you for their dedication.
Beyond this signature event, Rochester Main Street organizes smaller cleanup efforts throughout the year. These projects address everything from litter and graffiti removal to planter maintenance and seasonal touch-ups. Looking ahead, our goal is to expand this program into regular bi-weekly or monthly cleanups to keep our downtown looking its best all year long.
